Florence Salmond

June 16, 1927 ~ June 6, 2018 (age 90)
Born Florence Louise Finley at the St. Paul Hospital in Vancouver, Florence moved to Fort St. John at the age of 13. She resided in Rose Prairie and Fort St John for 78 years. Predeceased By Husband Rayton, she leaves to mourn her children Duane (Shirlee), Brian (Joanne), Vivian, Dennis(Marilyn), Sharon (Darryll), Karen (Daryl), Kevin (Carla) 19 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and their children. Florence also leaves life long friends whom she had a high regard for. The Celebration of life will be held at the Charlie Lake Church on June 16th at 11:OO AM Lunch to follow in the Charlie Lake Church basement from 12:00 until 2:00 AM

In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the Alpha One Foundation.

There are approximately 5000 individuals in Canada that are affected by severe A1AT deficiency, however, the disease has only been diagnosed in less than 1000 Canadians.

(Alpha-1 Canada) is a national not-for-profit organization committed to advocating on behalf of Canadians affected by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, providing education to patients and the healthcare community to increase awareness and testing for this genetic disease.
