Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeremy Rene Metecheah.
Jeremy was born on May 25, 1989 in Fort St. John, BC to Rene and Katie Metecheah. He passed away on September 5, 2023 in Fort St. John, BC.
Jeremy leaves to mourn his brothers, Travis (Amanda) Metecheah, Jr Jackson and Reuben Jackson; sisters, Krystal, Jada, Arlene, and Chrissy; and nieces and nephews, Mathew, Mary-Jane, Sophiane, Aiden, Jerome, Caydence, Skylar, Kyle, Colin, Adam, and Avery.
Jeremy was predeceased by his mother, Katie Metecheah; father, Rene Metecheah; sisters, Shantel Metecheah and Alisha Jackson; Uncles, Herbie St. Pierre, Harvey St. Pierre, Ted Metecheah, Steven Metecheah, and Stubby Metecheah; Aunties, Daphine A, Eileen St. Pierre, and Liza Wolf; and cousins, Kandice Hunter, Debbie Metecheah, Alexis Yahey, and Elizabeth St. Pierre.
There will be a viewing for Jeremy on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Hamre's Funeral Chapel in Fort St. John, BC.
A Wake will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Halfway River First Nation with a Funeral Service on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Halfway River First Nation.
The family asks that there be no alcohol or drugs at any of the services. If bringing food, please make sure it is NUT FREE.
