Age 66

Fredrick Russel Barr was born in 1957 in Edmonton, Alberta to parents Allister and Doreen Barr. Fred (Rusty) grew up in Stanger, Alberta with his parents, brother Doug and sister Karen. He spent his life ranching in several locations in Alberta and northern B.C and worked extensively in the energy industry.

Fred was known for his long and deep phone conversations where all aspects of life were discussed. He had an innate ability to take on any task, no matter how big it was. Fred was always on the go and accomplished many great things in his lifetime, living his dream.

He leaves behind his parents (Allister and Doreen) and sister Karen Barr (Rhet Schatz), and was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Barr. He also leaves behind his daughter, Amanda (Dave) Olson, and two sons, Chris (Patricia) Barr and Lucas (Helen) Barr, along with several granddaughters.

His love and devotion for family, friends and ranching was always top priority to him during his lifetime. His presence will forever be missed.

Fred will be laid to rest alongside family in Stanger, Alberta. A private family service will be held at a later date.
